The Leduc & District Food Bank’s mission is: To empower our community in aiding those in need of food support through strategic collaboration, educational programs and redistribution of food and goods.
The Leduc & District Food Bank (LDFB) is an organization supported by volunteers and community donations in order to provide short-term assistance.
We have moved toward being more than just a food warehouse but rather a place to help lift people out of poverty by making sure that all appropriate information and connections to existing programs are made available to our clients.
Partnerships with other agencies allow us to offer programs such as the United Way’s Tools for School, School Snack Attack Program, WECAN Food Co-op, Santa’s Helpers∕ Christmas Elves and Breakfast for Learning as well as cooking workshops, all to better meet client needs.
Our organization has a long history of working with EIA in a number of ways and we would like to thank EIA for their support that ultimately helps us to continue to work toward our vision: Where all individuals are empowered to achieve their full potential by having the opportunity to access basic social needs.
A big thank you to all of you who have taken part in this event to help us continue to help those who truly need our services.
